DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our Spring River Dinghy Series Race 1 and 2! \nThere are two races during each sailing session lasting approximately half an hour each\, with the faster boats completing more laps of the circuit than slower boats in the fleet. Average lap times are calculated using PY handicaps. \nRaces 1 & 2 are the first two races for Dinghy racers and will begin at 1245hrs. \nDo keep in mind there is no set end time for this race as it is dependable on the weather and your dinghy's ability. \nLocation varies due to weather. Races will take place outside our Shoreham Clubhouse. \nIf you have not done so already\, please purchase a entry ticket for the 2026 Spring River Series. SUMMARY:Sussex Yacht Club River Dinghy Series 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first River Dinghy Series for the Small Villiers Johnson Cup. (Last raced and won in 1960!) \nThere will be 30 minutes per race and some dates shown below holding more than one race on the day. \nWe ask that you purchase your entry for the entirity of the series below as well as let our office team know your attending each indiviual race by RSVP. You will need to click on each date to be able to allocate your RSVP. \nThere will be racing close to the club house and you will all be welcome for a drink after sailing. \nRacing Schedule: \nRace 1 & 2\, Saturday 14th April @ 12:45pm \nRace 3\, Saturday 11th April @ 18:00pm \nRace 4 & 5\, Saturday 18th April @ 11:40am \nRace 6\, Saturday 25th April @ 18:30pm \n- Please find Notice of Race and Sailing instructions here. \n- Any under 18s competing should complete the Parental Consent Form found here. This should be signed by a parent or guardian. \n- Entry tickets are per person and one ticket is only required for the duration for the series. We do request that all participants do RSVP to each race to ensure the office are aware of numbers. \n- Boat charter is also available for the following craft as an additional ticket. Price is for the full series. Please note only the skipper pays for boat charter. \nSailing is a dangerous sport you hire and sail the boats at your own risk \n\nLaser\nTopper\n\nPlease purchase your ticket below to enter the series\, and remember to RSVP to each Icicle Race individually under its scheduled race date.
