SUMMARY:Shoreham Raft Race 2026
DESCRIPTION:Shoreham's charity Raft Race\, created in 2019 and hosted by Sussex Yacht Club\, was inspired by the much-missed Bath Tub Race. It aims to raise much-needed funds for charity and bring the local community together for a fun event on the water. \nWe aspire to make this an annual\, fun summer event eagerly anticipated by the whole community. However\, it's not just about fun; we also aim to raise funds for local charities. All surpluses over and above the event costs will be passed on to our selected local charities. \nCharties selected for this years raft race will be announced at a later date. \nPlease note: This years tickets can only be purchased in group sizes of 4 to 8 people. We kindly ask that you organise your teams in advance before purchasing tickets for this year’s race. \nThe day begins at 1100hrs. Whether you’re racing hard or simply soaking up the atmosphere\, this is your chance to be part of a vibrant sailing experience. \n2026 Summer Regatta Series\nOur regatta series runs across three standout events:\n\n9th - 10th May 2026\n6th - 7th June 2026\n15th - 16th August 2026 (Final Regatta)\n\nEntry & Dining \n\nRegatta Entry: £11 per day\, £17 for both days (enter via normal WhatsApp) \n\n\nMeal Package: £15 per person - Includes a hearty dinner and a house drink of your choice.\n\nEntertainment for the evening will be by the talented Luke Lovett from 5pm - 7pm. \nFood available from 4pm - 6pm. \nGroup together now as a crew\, support YOUR club and don’t miss out on the evening meal to round off your day.  \nWe’re excited to launch this new regatta format for 2026 and can’t wait to welcome you for a season of great racing and unforgettable weekends on the water.  \nThe evening is open to all club members\, whether sailors or not\, please join the event\, appreciate the live music and enjoy the food!
